Senior Process Engineer

2. Design and Drawing Preparation

• Prepare feasibility study, design brief, process design, and P&ID include mass balance calculation.
• Prepare sketch drawings with sufficient details to enable draftsperson to produce satisfactory detailed drawings as required for tender, construction, or other purposes.
• Undertake process design and prepare specifications, bill of quantities and schedules.
• Prepare design calculations in accordance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Liaise with other engineering discipline to agree operational and interface details.

3. Tender Document and Tender Evaluation

• Assist in Tender Document preparation comprising of specifications, bill of quantities and schedules etc.
• Prepare Tender Evaluation Report with recommendation to Client on acceptance of tender.

4. Contract Administration

• Contract administration includes review and comment on the contractor’s submission of method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, testing procedures and test results.

5. Business Development

• Build and maintain good relationship with Client.
• Support business development department technically in understanding client requirement.
• Assist in preparing consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal

6. Management and Administration

• Assisting in management and administration functions within division as directed
• Assisting in management and administration activities within company as directed
• Assist in improving efficiency of Division.

7. Others

• Attend meetings and coordinate with all other internal and external design team members.
• Liaise with relevant Authorities for submission and approval of all drawings and documents.
• Carry out site supervision as necessary to ensure works are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice.
• Provide on the job training and mentoring for less experienced engineers on a wide range of process design topics.
• Involve in company’s activities including corporate social responsibility activities.
• Carry out tasks related to Minconsult’s operation as directed by the HOD.

Requirements

• Minimum a Degree in Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with major course work Chemical Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Able to work independently for typical types and sizes of projects comprising water supply and WTP treatment design, sewerage catchment study and STP treatment design, and with minimal guidance.
• Able to lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking small to medium sized multi- disciplinary projects with minimal guidance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines and able to follow HOD instruction.
• Good interpersonal skills. A good team player
• Good command of written and spoken English. Able to write and speak Bahasa Malaysia
