Supply Chain & Procurement Manager (Solar Energy / Construction Industry)
Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with solar project timelines and business goals.
Ensure procurement activities support cost efficiency, quality assurance, and timely project delivery.
Collaborate with project, engineering, and finance teams to align supply chain plans with installation and commissioning schedules.
Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers and vendors specializing in solar modules, inverters, batteries, mounting systems, and balance‑of‑system components.
Maintain strong, long‑term relationships with local and international suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to ensure favorable commercial outcomes and supplier performance.
Monitor supplier compliance with quality, delivery, and ESG requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Planning

2. Supplier & Vendor Management
Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers and vendors specializing in solar modules, inverters, batteries, mounting systems, and balance‑of‑system components.Maintain strong, long‑term relationships with local and international suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to ensure favorable commercial outcomes and supplier performance.Monitor supplier compliance with quality, delivery, and ESG requirements.3. Procurement Operations
Manage procurement budgets, track cost performance, and ensure adherence to project financial targets.Analyze market trends, raw material pricing (e.g., polysilicon, aluminum, copper), and currency fluctuations to identify cost‑saving opportunities.Maintain procurement SOPs, documentation, and audit trails in line with ISO and internal quality systems.4. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics for solar materials and equipment, including import / export operations, warehousing, and last‑mile delivery to project sites.Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure timely clearance and delivery.Optimize inventory management to balance cost, availability, and project schedules.5. Reporting & Compliance
Prepare reports and presentations for management and C‑level executives on procurement performance, savings, supplier risks, and delivery KPIs.Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and renewable energy industry standards.Proactively assess and mitigate supply chain risks such as supplier disruptions, customs delays, or logistics bottlenecks.6. Sustainability & ESG
Lead ESG‑focused procurement initiatives to promote sustainable sourcing and responsible supply chain practices.Prioritize vendors using renewable energy, low‑carbon manufacturing, and certified green practices (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001).Support company‑wide goals to reduce carbon emissions, minimize waste, and promote circular economy practices in material procurement.7. Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.Implement digital tools and automation to enhance procurement visibility, tracking, and data analytics.Continuously benchmark best practices in renewable energy supply chain management.8. Other Duties
Perform additional duties as assigned by management or C‑level executives.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the EPCC Solar industry, Building Construction, or renewable energy industry.Strong knowledge of solar components (modules, inverters, BOS materials) and industry suppliers.Experience in international sourcing, logistics, and contract management.Proven track record in negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier performance management.Preferred candidate with personality who is meticulous and hands‑on.Familiarity with ESG principles and sustainability reporting standards.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office Suite.#J-18808-Ljbffr
