The Advanced Reforming Process Engineer will play a critical role in our process engineering team, providing technical leadership and support for manufacturing facilities worldwide, based in our Kuala Lumpur Technology Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide active technical leadership and assist the organization in goal setting, sharing technical and organizational knowledge.
- Support process modeling sustainment and deployment.
- Mentor and train less experienced engineers.
- Provide reforming process engineering and technical support to ExxonMobil and third‑party licensee manufacturing sites.
- Support capital projects involving reforming and / or hydroprocessing engineering, ensuring efficient use of capital.
- Lead or support troubleshooting, improvement opportunities, and value capture initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure proper design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of equipment.
- Support successful installation, commissioning, and operationalizing of new or revamped facilities, including unit turnarounds.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.Minimum 8 years of work experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or refining industry.Minimum 3 years of specialization in reforming technology.Technical site or unit experience, including monitoring, troubleshooting, asset support, projects, and turnarounds.Process and equipment design experience, including the use of process simulation packages.Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and reaction kinetics knowledge.Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills in a multi‑cultural global team.Strategic thinker able to develop creative, fit‑for‑purpose solutions to operational problems.Ability to influence and promote change to achieve desired results with limited direct authority.Willingness to travel internationally as needed (approximately 5‑10% travel).Benefits
