Senior Business Development Manager (Retail & Manufacturing)
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead engagements with enterprise clients in Malaysia. The successful candidate will develop strategic partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored cloud solutions that meet clients' evolving needs.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify key industries, target customers, decision-makers, and customers' needs in Malaysia; build long-term relationships with CXOs to secure support.
- Use the customer's language to start conversations, gain trust, identify product and technology needs, and form effective business opportunities.
- Deliver secondary development for existing customers, provide experience upgrades in services and operations, and promote resource expansion.
- Regularly contact existing and potential customers to stay informed about business plans, budgets, supplier status, organizational structure, and technical environment.
- Identify customers ; decision-making chains, maintain relationships with key decision-makers, and establish long-term operational and technical relationships to obtain critical support in cooperation.
- Explain Alibaba Cloud product value (Apsara Stack, AI / Intelligent Computing, etc.) and competitive advantages to convey Alibaba Cloud as the best partner.
- Independently explain standard Alibaba Cloud product solutions to customers; with SA support, explain solutions matching customer scenarios and clearly communicate the business value created.
- Promote timely decisions to adopt and continuously use Alibaba Cloud products through effective resource integration and value creation for customers.
- Utilize sales strategies to convert opportunities and achieve results, aiming for win-win outcomes with customers.
Job Requirements
Minimum 10 years of cloud computing-related industry experience with B2B sales and pre-sales rolesExperience in selling software products; PaaS exposure is preferred; experience expanding major accounts is preferredUnderstand the technical core value and typical customer scenarios of Alibaba Cloud products; be able to answer standard product questionsAbility to communicate with CTOs and influence product selectionAbility to refine typical generic customer needs and establish normal working and business relationshipsProactive, able to think differently to deepen the depth of conversationsStrong service orientation and customer-centric mindsetUnderstand key customer needs and map to mature products and standardized solutionsSeniority level
