Commodity Specialist

Job descriptionDiploma / Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an EMS or Manufacturing environment Good knowledge of electronics components Demonstrate expertise in negotiation, implementation and maintenance of supplier contracts Effective interpersonal skills, both internally and externally Associate Full-time Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Analyst Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned commodity
- Closely following assigned commodity supply market activities and price trends and take necessary action
- Identifying, qualifying and selecting global suppliers with a team of buyers, supply chain specialists and supplier development engineers (SDE)
- To develop alternative suppliers within commodity to leverage on value and drive suppliers to improve cost
- Work with SDE to identify and develop new suppliers for cost reduction
- Responsible in leading and conducting global supplier negotiation of price, terms and services
- Management of contracts and agreement with suppliers
- Responsible for reviewing and negotiating on VDP Agreements with key suppliers
- Monitor & track PCN
- Be proactive in managing supplier capacity to match demand of all manufacturing sites
- Monitor and review key supplier performance with regular feedback in QBRs
