The position involves managing both direct and indirect sourcing and procurements, with a focus on developing sourcing strategies for OSAT, including assembly, lead frame, and mold compound suppliers, as well as tooling vendors. The role requires negotiating assembly and package pricing with suppliers to achieve or improve on the cost roadmap. Additionally, the candidate will partner with company's engineers and suppliers' engineers to drive costs down through value engineering efforts. The position also entails developing, maintaining, and owning a cost roadmap database that models all company's costs, including fab, test, logistics, and warehousing.
The candidate will work with the Product definition team to help develop the financial models of new products and collaborate with the NPI team for supplier identification, evaluation, design rule confirmation, and RFQ. Furthermore, the role supports all administrative aspects of the sourcing function and involves organizing, preparing, and running quarterly business reviews with fabs and assembly suppliers.
Key Responsibilities

- Mentor and lead a team of sourcing and procurement professionals, fostering collaboration across global sites.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management within the semiconductor industry.Proven track record in substrate sourcing, materials qualification, and packaging technology development.Strong understanding of semiconductor assembly processes, substrate manufacturing, and packaging materials.Demonstrated ability in supplier strategy, negotiation, and relationship management at a global scale.Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, and operations.Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.Familiarity with supply risk mitigation, cost reduction, and capacity assurance strategies.Must be willing to be based in Bayan Lepas, Penang.Preferred Background
Strong technical foundation in flip‑chip, BGA, or substrate packaging technologies.IC packaging experience.Experience managing supplier networks across China and Southeast Asia.Interested?
