Overview
The Project Manager in Allianz Technology Malaysia, Regional Delivery Center (RDC) is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects to ensure they remain on schedule, within scope, on budget, and uphold quality standards. Assisting the Head of Department in effectively allocating resources, balancing project demands with available capacity. Creating and executing project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prompt coordination with business units, technical team, governance team and service provider on project implementation plan.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and provide direction and support to the project team.
- Identify and report project issues, slippage of tasks or milestones, and project risks and facilitate timely resolution.
- Eliminate impediments and actively address issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the project.
- Provide timely reports on project status, budget spending, risks and issues to enable early visibility into project performance for better decision making by the authorized person or committee.
- Promote and take accountability for project quality and opportunities to improve delivery.
- Manage project changes, ensuring any changes to the project baseline are managed through a change request and all impacts are considered.
- Adopt an agile and flexible approach to work with a high level of professionalism and conduct.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with organizational impact.
- Ensure PMO practice, documentation, approach and governance processes are applied consistently.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
Key Requirements
Minimum Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering or any related fieldAt least 5 year(s) of working experience as a Project Manager in the related fieldExperience in project management documents such as tender preparation, presentation, proposal, project update, reports, stakeholders, issues, and risk managementExperience in IT and software development lifecycle is an added advantageTeam-player attitude, with strong interpersonal skillsCritical thinker with ability to analyze and synthesize information.Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (written and oral).A team player and able to manage the relevant stakeholders and ensure timely compilation of deliverables.Meticulous, with an eye for details and hands on person.Excellent in multitasking and prioritization; able to work proactively, independently and under pressure against multiple deadlines.Excellent people management, planning and organization skills.Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master or equivalent certification is an added advantageAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
