The main responsibility is to work collaboratively with diverse teams to assess, develop, and implement EHS strategies, adapting to different environments and industries while maintaining a focus on safety and environmental excellence. Your position

As a "EHS Specialist", you will report to our Plant Manager in Sörmas Plant. The main responsibility of this position is to work collaboratively with our diverse teams to assess, develop, and implement EHS strategies, making it essential for the specialist to adapt to different environments and industries while maintaining a consistent focus on safety and environmental excellence. Your tasks

Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, fostering a positive attitude towards EHS across all levels of the organization. Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure that the EHS policies of the customer are being followed. Provide on-site EHS training and education to clients, employees, and contractors, emphasizing best practices and safety culture. Maintain detailed records of assessments, training, incidents, and recommendations, and prepare comprehensive EHS reports for clients and management. Conduct comprehensive EHS assessments and audits to identify potential risks, hazards, and compliance issues and develop strategies and recommendations for risk mitigation and hazard control, focusing on preventing workplace incidents and accidents. Develop, maintain and update H&S documentation of the company in compliance with legislation and company guidelines, including fire safety and emergency preparedness About You

Education and skills A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety / related Engineering / Science field or equivalent HSE experience Certification as lead auditor of ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 A Class HSE Certification is required Languages English and Turkish – Proficient / Fluent Any other language will be considered an asset Work Experience and Knowledge Several years of HSE experience in an industrial environment with progressing responsibilities Why you should work for RHI Magnesita
