Overview
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the manufacturing business, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, driving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves managing financial operations, budgeting, reporting, audits, and providing insights to improve profitability and cash flow within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and review budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyze production costs, margins, and variances to identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Provide timely financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Accounting & Compliance
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP / AR, payroll, and general ledger.Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as required.Cost Control & Manufacturing Finance
Implement and monitor cost accounting systems and inventory valuation methods.Evaluate raw material, labor, and overhead costs to optimize production expenses.Support supply chain and procurement teams with financial analysis on vendor contracts.Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Monitor working capital and manage cash flow effectively.Oversee fund management, credit control, and banking relationships.Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.Establish strong internal controls and best practices in financial processes.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA / CA / CPA preferred).7–10 years of finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a manufacturing / industrial environment.Strong knowledge of cost accounting, ERP systems, and financial analysis tools.In-depth understanding of local tax laws, statutory compliance, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS / GAAP).Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.Seniority level
