Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will design and execute test plans, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with manual and automated testing, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality. Perform manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing). Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct API testing (using tools like Postman, SoapUI). Automate test cases using Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks. Ensure compliance with industry best practices and QA methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps). Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups. Continuously improve QA processes by implementing new tools and techniques. Provide feedback and recommendations for software improvements. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing. Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket). Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
