Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2 IT Operation Support Engineer to join our team.
- Provide L2 support by handling NOC L1 escalations related to operating systems, servers, and application layers.
- Administer, maintain, and implement security remediations for Linux servers, cloud-hosted systems, and databases.
- Configure and manage OS-level components, including re-installs, restarts, deployments, and service configurations.
- Evaluate and implement Group Policies as directed; perform root cause analysis (RCA) for OS and cloud-related incidents.
- Escalate to vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, cloud service providers) for advanced troubleshooting and detailed RCA.
- Manage system patching and updates on complex environments, including clusters, Linux servers, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ensure the Azure VM backup regime is maintained.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or system administration, preferably in a banking or financial services environment is an advantage.Strong knowledge of Linux server and system operations, troubleshooting, and performance tuning; basic exposure to Windows servers is an advantage.Familiar with banking applications like Core banking, payments, treasury, fraud / compliance, and parameter management is an advantage.Experience in Cloud platform operation (Azure, AWS, etc), Windows or Linux server operation support, network protocols, and databases.Strong understanding and application of ITIL principles and frameworksFamiliarity with ticketing systems and IT Service Management (ITSM) workflows.Able to work independently, strong work commitment, trustworthy, good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Beyondsoft (Malaysia) Sdn.
