The Public Area Team Leader supervises groups of Cleaners to maintain high cleaning standards of the Public Area within the hotel and ensure that all equipment is functional in line with Hilton and hotel policies and procedures.
The Public Area Team Leader role is with Hilton Brands and aims to deliver exceptional experiences for guests, team members, and owners alike.
What will I be doing?
- Distribute assignments to Public Area Attendants on duty.
- Inspect the entire public area in sequence.
- Ensure proper cleaning and vacuuming in restaurant outlets, function rooms, lobbies and restrooms.
- Report any damage of carpet or furniture for immediate repairs and follow up on urgent repairs.
- Check that all equipment is functional, clean and properly stored.
- Check all restrooms frequently to maintain hygienic standards.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the corresponding areas and adequate staff are assigned to VIP functions.
- Check the backstairs to ensure cleanliness is maintained.
- Train and supervise employees on the proper use of chemicals.
- Ensure that flowers and plants are in good condition and inform suppliers to change them when needed.
- Ensure the Public Area storeroom is clean, and chemicals and tools are prepared properly.
- Check Public Area team members’ grooming, personal hygiene and appearance.
- Assist with the preparation of team members’ duty rosters.
- Assist with team members’ trainings and development, directing their performance.
- Record the daily attendance of the public area team members.
- Maintain good communication with other departments.
- Deliver high quality service to guests and ensure effective cost control.
- Adhere to hotel cleaning and maintenance programs and keep a clean work area.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, Hilton code of business conduct and the team member handbook, security and emergency policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements for a Public Area Team Leader, serving Hilton Brands, include :
Minimum of 2 years as a Public Area Attendant.English literate to meet business needs.Good knowledge of public area operations.Ability to understand and utilize resources effectively.Able to lead and guide a small group of subordinates.Good knowledge of using chemicals and cleaning machines.Physically fit, able to work long hours and have good eyesight.Able to supervise others well and possess good communication skills.What will it be like to work for Hilton?
