Role Purpose
The Area People Business Partner is responsible for partnering with Area Store Operations Director and Store General Managers in the Southern Region to deliver the people agenda, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and workforce readiness. The role will act as the key HR interface for the region, ensuring execution of HR programs and initiatives in close collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) across Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Talent Management, and Learning & Development.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Drive end-to-end recruitment efforts for frontline, operational, and key regional roles to ensure timely hiring and strong talent pipelines.
- Partner with business leaders to forecast manpower needs and align recruitment strategy accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition COE to ensure employer branding, candidate experience, and sourcing strategies meet business demands.
- Track, analyze, and report hiring metrics for the Southern Region.
2. Talent Management & Development
Support recruitment efforts for store-level positions to ensure timely staffing.Support onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.Drive performance management processes, coaching leaders on goal setting, feedback, and development plans.3. Employee Engagement & Culture
Champion employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace.Act as a key contact for employees, addressing queries and concerns promptly.Support programs that reinforce company values, recognition, and employee well-being.4. HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied across stores.Monitor compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and internal policies.Provide data-driven insights and HR reports to support decision-making. Advise on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.5. Change Management & Projects
Support organizational changes within store operations, ensuring smooth transitions.Lead or participate in HR-related projects to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.Collaborate cross-functionally with other HR teams (Compensation & Benefits, L&D, Talent Acquisition) to deliver integrated people solutions.What You’ll Bring to The Role
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in retail, FMCG, or multi-site operations.Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.Proven ability to influence and partner with business leaders.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple stakeholders.Strong stakeholder management.Willingness to be stationed at Store and travel to different store locations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
