Key Responsibilities : -Independently handle the preparation and review of full sets of accounts for SME clients. -Perform monthly bank reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and closing of accounts accurately and timely. -Utilize cloud accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date client accounting records. -Understand clients' business models and financial requirements to provide tailored accounting solutions. -Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. -Identify and proactively address potential accounting or compliance issues. -Engage with clients professionally, providing insights and clear communication to support their financial understanding and decision-making. -Work seamlessly and collaboratively with the audit and taxation teams to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. -Check and guide junior accountants to make sure their work is correct. -Collaborate closely with internal teams, including corporate secretarial, to deliver seamless client services. Qualifications and Skills : -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. -Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably handling full sets of SME accounts. -Familiarity with cloud accounting solutions like Bukku, Xero, or QuickBooks is highly advantageous. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. -Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly to clients. -Ability to adapt and follow established SOPs effectively. -Demonstrated business sense and proactive approach to identifying areas for client financial improvement is preferred.
