Job Summary :
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. This role includes maintaining a clean and organized work area, handling customer transactions, and ensuring consistent product quality and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
Beverage Preparation
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Operate coffee-making equipment (espresso machines, grinders, blenders, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Follow standard recipes and presentation techniques to maintain product consistency.
Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders.
Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and brewing methods.
Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly.
Cashiering and POS
Operate the cash register or POS system.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Ensure proper billing and issue receipts as needed.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, equipment, and dining area.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Wash and sanitize equipment and utensils as required.
Inventory and Stock
Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
Inform the supervisor of low stock or reorder needs.
Receive and store deliveries properly.
Teamwork
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth café operations.
Support other team members during busy periods.
Attend training sessions or briefings as scheduled.
