KD Logistics Specialist

Job Descriptions :

1.     KD Component Parts Logistical Arrangement

To ensure the delivery (ETD / ETA) of KD component parts operate smoothly from China Port, Port Klang Malaysia to the factory (EPMB Melaka).

To monitor the daily container movement from port to EPMB plant.

To confirm with EPMB team on parts receiving process.

Container arrangement issues (delay in delivery / change of delivery plan / urgent container delivery).

Container unstuffing process / time taken for daily operation in EPMB Melaka Plant.

Storing availability for KD parts.

2.     Production planning and supply operations.

To discuss and confirm with EPMB team on daily car manufacturing operation input and output.

Brainstorming, open discussion and make a proper decision making on the daily production operation with EPMB Melaka team.

To plan the production timeline according to the KD shipment plan.

To update the total KD part lot incoming.

To update on the upcoming, latest & ongoing issue for the KD shipment operations.

3.     Local part delivery instruction (part call in activity) for production.

To provide the delivery instruction to all local vendor based on production plan.

Monitor on the part readiness and delivery confirmation.

To verify & receive the part according to the DI and DO.

Empty pallet / polybox return activities.

To provide the latest production plan and current warehouse stock for local parts to local vendor.

4.     Documentation provider for government authority bodies approval (Custom Malaysia, MITI, MIDA & Etc) and payment submission / verification into the system for logistics agent charges.

To check, confirm, provide and submit the documentation in timely manner.

To provide the proper and complete documentation (shipping documents, telex letter, letter of authorization) to logistics agents for Malaysia Government Bodies (Custom Malaysia, MITI, MIDA) for shipment clearance process.

To check and confirm the K1 submit to Custom Malaysia.

To follow up with logistics agent on the approval time that need to be aligned with production plan.

To inform production team on all approval status once in order.

To verify and confirm the invoice charges from logistics agent (handling charges, duty paid, storage fee etc).

To proceed the payment request into GWM system to Finance team.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 1 - 2 years experience in related experience. Background or experience in the automotive-related industry will be an added advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Must have proficiency in English and Malay communication, with Mandarin skills will be advantages.
• Possess work experience in handling KD parts import customs clearance and logistics operations will be advantages.
• Familiar with customs clearance procedures and well-versed in overall business exception handling processes.
• Able to drive, preferable having own transport as require to travel within KL / Selangor and Melaka
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, resilience under pressure, and the ability to independently complete work projects.
• Candidates with certain logistics and customs clearance agency resources will be given priority consideration.
