Job Description

Legal Associate - 1 position (PQE 3-4) - Construction & CIPAA

Hands-on experience in construction disputes and CIPAA adjudication.

Strong drafting, research and advocacy skills, with the ability to manage files and matters independently.

Able to handle case managements and interlocutory applications, with opportunities to second-chair in trials and appeals.

Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken), with the ability to convey complex legal issues clearly and effectively.

Demonstrated contribution to business development, including client relationship management.

Legal Associate - 1 position (PQE 4-5) - Intellectual Property

Experienced in Intellectual Property matters including trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and copyrights.

Provide strategic counsel and act as a primary point of contact for clients on IP matters.

Manage a portfolio of IP files efficiently, including filings, prosecution and enforcement.

Draft, review and negotiate a variety of IP-related agreements (eg : licensing agreements, joint ventures, commercial arrangements).

Lead and manage IP disputes, including litigation, mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations.

Keep abreast of developments in IP law and industry trends, to deliver innovative solutions.

Mentor and guide junior associates and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Actively contribute to the firm’s business development through thought leadership, client engagement and industry participation.

Litigation Clerk - 1 position

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Litigation Clerk or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.

Good knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in using Google Workspace, and other relevant legal or administrative software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

A reliable team player with a positive, proactive and responsible attitude.

Qualifications and Requirements

Lawyers

Minimum CGPA of 3.40 or an Upper Second-Class LLB degree.

Valid Practising Certificate issued by the Malaysian Bar.

Proficiency in Mandarin or Tamil, both spoken and written, will be an advantage.

Clerk

Minimum 2 years experience in litigation;

Candidates must possess at least SPM qualification;

Good communication and interpersonal skills;

Good (spoken and written) English and Malay.
