Job descriptionUniversity Degree / Bachelor’s degree is necessary and / or certifications are necessary. Understanding of how beauty & personal care product descriptions should be written. Must have copywriting experience writing product descriptions for beauty & personal care brands. Preferably 3-5 years of copywriting work experience in eComm / eContent operations. Working knowledge of Client brand website, commerce & content platform experience (Lazada, Shopee, Tokipedia, Amazon, etc…). Knowledge of SEO, analysis, and site optimization. Proofreading, attention to detail and accuracy both in terms of grammar and information. Good communication skills, and familiar with presenting data and insight. A sense of the beauty & personal care products, a good holistic understanding of the digital landscape and wider retail environment. Outstanding time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow. Cultural awareness and international experience. Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing Japanese and English language.

Responsibilities
- Produce clear, SEO-friendly, succinct and engaging product descriptions against own brand guidelines. Aimed at meeting customer’s demand for information and help improve their understanding of the product offering on the Client website and e-commerce portal. When writing copy, you must consider keyword density and prominence, tone, style and readability.
- Develop and deliver outstanding copy that supports the business commercial priorities. Ensuring all copy requirements are developed and delivered on time to meet client and brand expectations / requirements for the category, events and promotional projects.
- Work with the team to fully understand the production required, then own the execution of that plan to deadline and the right standard.
- Develop positive working relationships across the product induction and buying team to make sure the content is produced and published on time.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality and on‑brand tone of voice of all your own work.
- Ensure translation of assets for the needs of local markets.
- Implementation of product and promotional content from the client’s asset libraries.
- Translating content analytics and performance reports into meaningful recommendations to optimize site and app content “on-the-fly”.
- Works with local market teams to prioritize requirements for site and promotional content.
- Assess and act on content performance reports.
- Proactively highlight and assess key findings from campaign, content, and customer service reports.
