Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot network switches, wireless access points (APs), and routers.
Implement configurations, upgrades, and patching in line with best practices.
Ensure network performance, uptime, and availability.
Perform security reviews, implement access controls, and monitor logs for anomalies.
Maintain and support PABX / IP-PBX systems, including user extensions, call routing, and integration with network infrastructure.
Configure, monitor, and maintain Windows / Linux servers.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, email systems, and file servers.
Perform regular server backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
Act as the onsite technical escalation point for IT issues.
Provide technical guidance and support for academic and administrative staff.
Liaise with external vendors for hardware / software support when required.
Maintain updated technical documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
Provide regular operational and incident reports to client management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in network engineering and system administration.
Strong technical knowledge of :
Experience in backup management and disaster recovery planning.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferably have the ability to speak and write in Mandarin, English & Malay. We are looking for Mandarin‑speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin‑speaking customers.
