Job Description
- Leading and managing regional supplier development and sustainability (SD&S) in AkzoNobel Sourcing, with the target to improve overall supplier performance(QDCIS
- ) while reducing carbon footprint of the targeted supply base in the region; in scope are a selected group of strategic and innovative suppliers identified through the ALPS Source Strategic Source Process.
- Institutionalize AkzoNobel supplier development & sustainability processes & tools (ALPS, TfS, OTIF, Supplier Quality…) for the region.
- Deploy performance and proactive development projects of suppliers based on lean methodologies.
- Create and prioritize Supplier Development & Sustainability Planning for the spend area related suppliers; this includes a strong contribution to quality management, productivity, delivery performance and sustainability (carbon footprint reduction).
- Coordinate major supplier improvement programs in the above mentioned areas.
- Use supplier performance monitoring to set targets and drive continuous improvement.
- Define and lead regional SD&S.
- Work in accordance with the Akzo Nobel processes and Values.
Job Requirement
University or Master degree level (or equal through experience).Approx. 10 years of Global Procurement and Integrated Supply Chain experience in a global landscape, preferred through managing supplier improvement programs.Change management skills.Excellent communicator, both in communication with external business partners and with main stakeholders.Stress resistance, flexible, problem solving attitude.Has an eye for improvement opportunities and solid though quick decision.Demonstrated effectiveness in applying continuous improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma or willingness to be trained in Lean Six Sigma.Basic knowledge of Corporate Sustainability Programs or willing to learn towards an expert level.Seen by others as credible, trustworthy, and open to new ideas.Ability to form strong teamwork-based relationships within the organization and with internal customers and external partners & clients, can be convincing, compelling and inspirational; knows how to get things done without a hierarchical basis to work from; excellent relation management.Capability and willingness to grow in the organization.Familiar with ERP and Business Intelligence Systems.Fluent in English and willing to travel.At AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
