To ensure the effective implementation of Supplier Quality Management at Spirit Malaysia, ensuring full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing the SQ Action Plan to achieve department objectives.
- Monitoring Supplier Performance : Develop, update, and track quality data trends, defect rates, and scorecards to ensure adherence to company and customer standards.
- Producing Supplier Quality analysis from data captured and reporting.
- Ensuring Compliance : Aligning supplier processes with relevant requirements such as FAA, EASA, AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.
- Producing supplier audit plans : Executing the audit plan accordingly and ensuring closure within the timeline.
- Conducting supplier audits at supplier sites as per schedule or planning.
- Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensuring Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) completion or closure.
- Supporting product containment inspections and reporting.
- Assisting in RCCA : Supporting supplier responses to Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations.
Supplier Development & Continuous Improvement
Implementing Supplier SQIP and driving continuous improvement initiatives : Ensuring execution of supplier improvement plans, data-driven insights, and promoting Kaizen / LEAN initiatives. Reviewing supplier improvement plans and ensuring closure. Supporting development of robust process controls through APQP.Providing support and assistance during supplier Quality Events when required.Internal Coordination : Collaborating closely with Procurement, Engineering, Supplier Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to align supplier quality goals and communication efforts.Risk Mitigation & Escalation : Identifying high-risk suppliers, implementing containment actions, and escalating unresolved issues.Documentation, Training & Compliance
Maintaining and disseminating supplier quality updates, providing training and guidance as needed.Assisting in internal and external audits (e.g., AS9100, Nadcap).Ensuring compliance with document and record control requirements for SQM.Leadership & Workplace Culture
Fostering collaboration and building strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.Addressing disputes related to suppliers and team members.Promoting safety and work culture by adhering to EHS procedures, shop floor regulations, 5S principles, and FOD-free workplace standards.Performance & Compliance
Supporting achievement of KPIs while maintaining high-quality standards.Ensuring policy adherence and performing additional duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum degree in Science or Engineering fields.At least 3 years of relevant work experience.QMS / supplier auditing skills are advantageous.Excellent command of English and ability to converse in Bahasa Malaysia.Strong interpersonal, planning skills, and computer literacy.Ability to produce reports and work under minimal supervision.Malaysian citizen or hold relevant residence status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
