Position summary
The Support Engineer, SAP PP / QM provides exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications as part of a global customer support team. The role involves researching, troubleshooting, and supporting multiple SAP modules for global clients using SAP ECC or SAP S / 4HANA environments; diagnosing issues and developing, testing, packaging, and delivering fixes in complex, highly configured environments.
Responsibilities
- Specialist in SAP PP, procure-to-pay process design, LE, Variant configuration, EDI, development, configuration, implementation, and post go-live support.
- Experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Production stockroom and related Quality functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business division leaders and end users to understand problems and define solutions.
- Complete a minimum of two end-to-end implementations.
- Lead discovery discussions with supply chain and production stakeholders to define requirements.
- Analyze and architect scalable, flexible solutions that are extensible to future business needs using SAP ECC / SAP S / 4HANA.
- Articulate solution value to all organization levels.
- Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business strategy and available technology.
- Communicate designs and work with developers and analysts; lead planning, testing and deployment through to delivery.
- Hands-on design, architectures, roadmaps, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks.
- Contribute to governance, methodologies, and compliance activities.
Experience
8+ years of relevant SAP experience, particularly with PP / QM modules.8+ years of direct end-user support in a corporate environment.Qualifications and skills
Track record of successful roles in SAP implementations, roll-outs, or application support.Working knowledge of supporting business processes with analytical problem-solving skills.SAP certification(s) preferred.Knowledge of maintenance / patching mechanics and SAP architecture.Strong problem-solving abilities across multiple modules.Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer-focused mindset.Ability to build long-term relationships with clients.Strong knowledge of key application functionality, data structures, and relationships.Deep knowledge of SAP customization / extension methodologies.Development skills using SAP toolset.Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.Attention to detail and quick learning ability.Client-focused with the ability to work independently and in a team, and to handle high-pressure situations.Ability to work remotely from a home-based office in a virtual environment.Experience with SAP 4.x, ECC / S4HANA including full lifecycle implementation, configuration and administration.Food processing industry experience is a plus.Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of country-specific solutions is advantageous.Consulting background is useful but not mandatory.Experience with localizations and global implementations is a plus.Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Location
