The Job
As part of our commitment to providing top-tier services, we are expanding our operations with the development of a new Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Division. This division will provide specialized maintenance services, both for our internal laboratories and for other laboratories in the region requiring technical support.
As our Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Team leader, you will be the cornerstone of our technical team, responsible for ensuring that all laboratory equipment operates at optimal performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in maintaining and repairing complex lab instruments to make a significant impact in a well-supported, international work environment.
Your main tasks will include :
Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex laboratory equipment, including liquid and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry instruments, ICP-MS, etc.
Provide on-site maintenance and repair services for both Enval Group’s laboratories and external clients, ensuring equipment is functioning optimally.
Identify and perform repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous laboratory operations.
Calibrate instruments to meet metrological requirements and maintain quality control procedures for all equipment.
Assist laboratory staff and clients with technical support, offering guidance on proper equipment use and maintenance best practices.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and calibration records for internal and client reporting.
The Profile
To be successful in this role, you should have :
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 5 - 8 years of experience in maintaining laboratory equipment, especially with LCMS, GC / MS / MS,ICP-MS or other advanced analytical instruments. NB : Manufacturer accreditation for the best-known brands of equipment would be an asset.
Strong troubleshooting skills, with an eye for detail and commitment to maintaining equipment standards.
Proficiency in English; French knowledge is a plus but not required.
Willingness to relocate to Abidjan with a supportive relocation package, and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
Experience working in a client-facing role, with the ability to provide clear, professional support to laboratory personnel and clients.
