R&D Assistant Manager (Food Frozen Processing)

Responsibilities

Planning and evaluating R&D team in New Product Development, Existing Product Improvement, New Ingredient (Raw Material & Spices) Testing. To establish & maintain R&D activity in Epicor system. To work with operations staff to ensure new products are compatible with current manufacturing processes. New test method development and validation. Ensuring the work of the R&D department does not exceed budgets. Supervising sensory evaluation test and data analysis for sensory test. Ensure new & existing product and related documents (packaging information, Halal application etc) are complied with regulatory guidelines (HACCP, Food Act Malaysia, Codex Alimentarius etc). To prepare, maintain and report to management on project raw material costing. To ensure an accurate and confidential R&D filing system be maintained. To carry out other assignments given by management from time to time. As a team member for Food Safety, ISO & Halal Internal Auditor teams. Report problems with regards to the FSMS to direct superior. Ensure that the Company responds to external challenges, risks and opportunities; Liaise with suppliers as required. Carry out any other relevant tasks. Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent. Experience in food related field especially in frozen meat manufacture in food industry. Knowledge of HACCP, quality concepts and technical knowledge in food processing is an advantage. Strong interest in product and process development. Proven track record in new product development.
