We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution of our Solar PV projects, and will be based in Kedah / Pahang.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, plan, and oversee all aspects of solar energy projects, including contracts, subcontracting issues, milestone activities, project scheduling, and performance.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, including weekly and daily updates.
- Monitor, track, and update project teams, Project Manager, and superiors about the project status.
- Attend monthly and weekly progress meetings as required.
- Ensure all arising issues related to project planning are promptly addressed by the relevant departments.
- Support the project team whenever required.
- Review potential delays and schedule impacts of critical components of the work, and suggest solutions to maintain the project schedule.
- Notify internal and project teams about progress delays or advancements.
- Prepare mitigation plans, recovery plans, and acceleration strategies if required by the project team.
- Liaise with all project departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.Proven experience as a Planning Engineer within the renewable energy sector, specifically solar projects.Strong understanding of contracts, BOQ, and subcontracting issues.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to prepare detailed progress reports and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose effective solutions to maintain project schedules.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in project management software - Microsoft ProjectWilling to relocate and be based at project sites in Kedah / PahangSeniority level
