Job descriptionMinimum 1 year experience Strong background in Linux Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment). Responsible for a shift in a 24 / 7 / 365 working environment including on-call rostered basis shift Solid knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling) Performance Management / Troubleshooting Base Operating System Installation Ability to understand internal customer problems and provide technical solutions in a timely manner. Ability to understand customer urgency and sensitivity of a problem. Ability to speak confidently and communicate clearly with internal customers. Ability to work well within a demanding customer environment and delight customers. Strong Adherence to Process and be a process champion
Position : Data Center Technician
Industry : IT & Software Services
Working Location : Sedenak, Kulai, Johor
Working Day / Hours : 5 days per week; 24 / 7 rotational shift(3 shift)
Working Duration : 6 + 6 months contract (Renewable based on performance)
Salary : Basic up to RM5,000 - 8,000 (Based on experience + skills) with OT + statutory contribution + medical insurance + leave entitlement
Responsibility :
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware, and software.
- Provides escalated 2nd level technical support for complex technical issues which may include leading problem management cases and providing management status.
- Manages escalated support cases and leads appropriate internal technical resources and / or 3rd party vendors to resolution.
- Assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching.
- Working on standardization projects for both hardware and software under the company technology stack; while providing consistent system uptime as expected in an IaaS environment
