Programme Manager - Global Expansion (AI and Software) — Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This role leads the setup and ongoing operation of a new AI-driven software hub in Kuala Lumpur, partnering with engineering leaders, product managers, QA, DevOps, HR, and international stakeholders. You will implement governance models, manage large-scale programmes involving AI or software, and help attract top talent to the hub while aligning regional goals with global objectives.

What you'll do

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of a significant expansion project by scaling up a new technology hub comprising over 50 software engineers.
• Establish governance structures and delivery frameworks tailored to large-scale AI and software initiatives.
• Drive multiple concurrent programmes across Engineering, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and DevOps.
• Partner with global stakeholders in APAC and Europe to align objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop operational dashboards with real-time project insights and proactive risk management.
• Deliver executive reporting on programme status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to accelerate recruitment and onboarding for hub hires.
• Champion continuous improvement by applying Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall approaches where appropriate.
• Foster an inclusive team culture with open communication and shared responsibility for goals.
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards and local Kuala Lumpur regulatory requirements.
