Senior Executive, Mobile Planning (Spectrum Planning and Assignment Division)

Job Summary

Plan and develop new policies on the use of new spectrum for mobile services, in order to promote efficient use of spectrum as well as in achieving policy objectives, supporting relevant initiatives and remain relevant on par with the global development and country's need.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate emerging strategies in promoting efficient use of new spectrum bands for mobile services in Malaysia.
• Execute development of new policies and relevant instruments in ensuring effective spectrum allocation for new spectrum for mobile services.
• Monitor and analyse the development of relevant technical guidelines, standard radio system plans and propose relevant international technical criteria for use of new spectrum bands for mobile services in order to maximise the utilisation, minimise interference and optimise the usage of the spectrum.
• Negotiate the use of new spectrum bands for mobile services in the common border areas in order to achieve efficient and harmonise use of spectrum.
• Collect and analyse the latest data on global developments in mobile technology through involvement in local and international working group / study groups for continuous improvement of mobile services.
• Coordinate and execute regular liaison with stakeholders in ensuring timely and sufficient amount of spectrum is available for use by the mobile service.
• Monitor and provide periodic updates on progress of projects to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or relevant discipline from a reputable university with minimum CGPA 3.00.
