Data Engineer

Job Overview

Deliver technology solutions to meet business requirements. Create, maintain, and monitor data pipelines, ensuring high quality and effective governance. Design and optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and efficient data retrieval. Implement logic to clean and transform data in meaningful ways. Develop automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to reduce manual errors and streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Data Integration and Maintenance for business systems
• Creation and monitoring of new data pipelines
• Proficient use of APIs, JSON, and SQL
• Establish and enforce data quality and governance standards and policies
• Optimize database structures, performance, scalability, and data retrieval
• Monitor and manage the SDMG Azure Data Warehouse infrastructure
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards (preferred but not mandatory)
• Automate and enhance tooling for data process efficiency
• Identify bottlenecks and tune performance to ensure timely data availability for analysis and reporting
• Provide actionable data insights using BI tools such as Power BI or QlikSense
• Integrate data from multiple sources, both structured and unstructured, to produce user‑friendly outputs
• Support DevOps practices including deployment, security hardening, monitoring, and logging on Azure (preferred but not mandatory)
