Job Overview

IFA SFC MW BE is hiring a Middleware System Software Engineer to develop middleware software including manufacturing execution business logic, request / reply, and publish / subscribe messaging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and support factory middleware components to enable platform and manufacturing technologies.
• Collaborate with factory clients (Station Controllers) and backend system providers, as well as third‑party suppliers for a new MES replacement.
• Manage work assignments independently and oversee the entire project lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and support.
• Actively contribute to modernizing and converging the middleware stack to support all aspects of Intel Manufacturing, learning modern industry standards such as cloud, containers, Kafka, and more.
• Analyze customer requirements and design software solutions that meet them.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Create robust, reliable, and high‑performance applications that satisfy all customer requirements.
• Write and run test suites to prove functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Provide expert support to factory technicians and process engineers on application usage.
• Learn modern software technologies and apply them to Intel manufacturing middleware needs.

Work Model

This role is eligible for a hybrid work model, allowing employees to split time between on‑site at the assigned Intel site and off‑site. Work model, location, and time type may change.
