Job descriptionProvide legal advice and review contracts, agreements, and policies. Monitor and interpret laws (e.g. PDPA, AMLA, Consumer Protection) and ensure operational compliance. Liaise with regulators, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to address legal and compliance issues. Lead risk identification and mitigation strategies across the Automotive Division. Conduct assessments, test internal controls, and prepare risk updates for Group reporting. Oversee incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Develop and deliver compliance policies, SOPs, and training programs. Conduct internal audits and investigations to assess framework effectiveness. Drive ESG strategy, reporting, and GHG tracking across business units. Conduct materiality assessments and report ESG progress to Group stakeholders. Coordinate company-wide safety programs and ensure compliance with the OSH Act. Support ongoing improvement of safety systems and practices. Bachelor's Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business, Risk Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial) or equivalent. Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related roles—ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of JPJ, SIRIM, DOE, DOSH, MITI, Customs regulations and standards. Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills. Confident, assertive, and able to challenge constructively while maintaining good relationships. High integrity, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic business environment.
