Pastry World is a 10 years cake pastry and bakery manufacturing company qualified by HACCP. We distribute a broad variety of pastry and bakery products to meet the highest standards of safety and quality for our customers. We are expanding our operations and invite suitably qualified and dynamic candidates to fill the following vacancies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of bread production, including dough preparation, shaping, proofing, baking, and finishing, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality, and safety standards.
- Develop, refine, and standardize recipes for bread products (artisan loaves, rolls, sourdough, specialty breads, gluten-free, etc.) to ensure consistency, quality, and cost control.
- Manage ingredient sourcing, procurement, and inventory control, ensuring availability of high-quality ingredients while optimizing costs and minimizing waste.
- Oversee operation, cleaning, and maintenance of bakery machinery (mixers, ovens, proofers, sheeters, slicers) to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Plan production schedules, manage capacity, and coordinate with other departments to achieve production goals and customer requirements.
- Monitor production processes and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with recipe specifications, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
- Lead, train, and mentor bakery staff (Senior Bakers, CDPs, Demi Chefs, Bakers, Apprentices) to foster teamwork, efficiency, and skill development.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and introduce innovative bakery products.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO, GMP, FSMS, and food safety standards, maintaining a safe and hygienic production environment.
- Build talent by developing skills, knowledge, and career progression opportunities within the bakery team.
Qualifications and Skills
Skill / Knowledge & Certification :Culinary degree or equivalent certification in Pastry Arts or Baking.Working Experience :Minimum 7–10 years of progressive bakery production experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.Special Skill / Knowledge :Comprehensive knowledge of bread production techniques, recipes, and equipment.Strong leadership and team management skills with proven ability to motivate and develop staff.High attention to detail with focus on quality, consistency, and efficiency.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.Company and Recruitment Notes
