Responsibilities
- Act as the daily physical link between the Project Construction Manager, the Project Team and Engineering departments to develop and produce deliverables on time.
- Prepare Bid Inquiry packages, potential bidder lists and obtain relevant qualifications in coordination with the Subcontracting section.
- Follow up on Bid Inquiries, keep a record of the relevant bid bulletins and prepare recommendations for final negotiations / award during the bidding phase.
- Prepare the general Method statement for general site conditions, mechanical erection works and relevant price list; contribute to the definition and design of Temporary Construction Facilities and Camp where applicable.
- Prepare the Project Construction deliverables list upon indication from the Project Construction Manager.
- Support Project planning for all activities relevant to all Construction deliverables.
- Support the Project Construction Manager for the definition of the Construction Measurement System database by daily coordination with the Project Team.
Qualifications
BSc in Construction with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of construction field experience, including at least seven (7) years supervising projects as General Foreman / Superintendent / Construction Manager.Or Diploma in Construction with a minimum of twenty (20) years of construction field experience, including at least ten (10) years supervising projects as General Foreman / Superintendent / Construction Manager.Or any equivalent combination of qualifications, training and relevant construction working experience.Must have knowledge and experience in Home Office Construction activities – minimum 5 years.Experience in Modularization activities and modularized projects.Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Projects.Proven construction engineering and managerial skills.Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.In‑depth knowledge of the management of construction sites from commencement to handover.In‑depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects.In‑depth knowledge of OSH regulations and practice.In‑depth knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and concepts.Working knowledge of the Last Planner System™ and other Lean Construction tools will be a definite asset.Benefits
