A Year 5 and 6 Maths Teacher is required for July / August 2025, in a fantastic Australian International School in Malaysia, with a renowned sister school in Melbourne.

The campus in Malaysia is relatively new in its 7th year, with 440 students. A very exciting growth time to join and be a part of this wonderful school’s development. It is purpose built and very generously resourced, surrounded by large areas of green space, towering trees, ponds, parks, pedestrian paths and only 30 minute from central Kuala Lumpur.

They are the only school outside of Australia to partner with a school in Victoria and are managed by SEGi University and Colleges – one of Malaysia’s largest and foremost providers of tertiary education. The staff are able to enjoy productive and collaborative relationships with the teachers in their sister school and students enjoy annual student exchanges, as well as an end of year Study Tour.

With a dedicated team of teachers from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, China Europe and Malaysia, you can be sure to be joining an amazingly diverse school, with a range of backgrounds, brought together, creating something very unique!

The students are amazing, again from different backgrounds, creating a very cultural, supportive atmosphere across the entire school.

School hours for the staff are 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, with a lot of non-contact time for teachers to plan, mark and get their work done during the school day, so that they can enjoy their evenings and weekends.

Class sizes average around 24 in Junior and Middle School and around 18 in Senior School – brilliant student to teacher relationships – teaching rather than crowd control!

There is a canteen at school serving great local Asian food as well as Western. You can grab your lunch for the equivalent of £1!

The lifestyle is incredible. From Scuba diving to Irish bars, restaurants, theme parks, water parks, their famous Heritage Site, night clubs. Or if you fancy popping to Thailand, you can get there in 45 minutes! Some of the teachers have friends in Singapore and sometimes do a quick bus trip there – endless opportunities and something for absolutely everyone.
