Overview
Roles Summary / Purpose :
As a Senior Group Product Manager , you will oversee multiple product lines, leading end-to-end product development cycle including product strategy, innovation, and customization / adaptation across all markets. You will manage a team of product managers, align cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable business impact through data-driven decision-making and world-class product experiences. This role offers the opportunity to shape multiple product portfolios while building a global career in product leadership, based in Kuala Lumpur with global exposure.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate multi-product strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Conduct market analysis , competitive benchmarking, and customer research to inform product portfolio direction.
- Develop multi-product roadmaps with clear KPIs and business impact metrics.
- New Product Development (NPD)
- Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers to ensure smooth NPD development cycle from market research, consumer insight mining, product concept development to product formulation, packaging design / development, prototype and commercial production.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders across finance, supply chain, sales and marketing.
- Oversee production adaptation such as packaging, formulation etc. to ensure regulation compliance in regional markets and drive local sales through localised product portfolios.
- Project Management
- Collaborate with design, supply chain, purchasing, regulation and R&D teams to ensure on-time product delivery .
- Develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches at scale.
- Oversee post-launch performance analysis and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication
- Work with executive leadership to align product roadmaps with brand strategy.
- Communicate product portfolio vision, strategy, and impact to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships with regional and global teams for product scaling and localization.
Job Specification / Requirements
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in any field.Experience :
8–10+ years of product development & management experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing multiple product lines or teams.Proven success in FMCG / lifestyle / skincare product development, cross-functional project management, portfolio management, and scaling products internationally.Strong background in project management is a MUST.Skills :
Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinking with financial acumen to measure product ROI and business impact.Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills at the executive level .Regional travelling is required.Seniority level
