Responsibilities
Customer Quality
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer quality concerns.
- Lead structured problem-solving and failure analysis efforts (8D, 5 Why, FTA) for customer complaints and field returns.
- Lead and coordinate product containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer communications.
- Ensure compliance with automotive customer-specific requirements (CSR) and support PPAP submissions, IMDS, and safety documentation (where applicable).
- Track and report on customer quality metrics (e.g., PPM, NTF rates, customer scorecards) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare for and lead customer quality audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and corrective actions are in place and aligned with customer expectations.
Supplier Quality
Develop and manage the supplier quality program for raw materials, wafers, packaging, and outsourced assembly / test services (OSATs).Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and drive corrective actions for non-conformances.Ensure supplier compliance with standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AEC-Q100, and customer-specific quality expectations.Monitor supplier KPIs (quality performance, SCARs) and initiate quality improvement plans where necessary.Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) process for supplier-related non-conformances; coordinate disposition of suspect material with cross-functional teams.Provide technical feedback to suppliers based on inspection failures, incoming quality data, or process deviations.Internal Leadership
Lead supplier quality and customer quality issue analysisInterface with multiple functional teams (e.g. R&D, Engineering, Operations, etc.) to ensure all products meet quality expectations from prototype to mass production.Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plan reviews during product development.Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, etc.).Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (Electrical / Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, Material, Manufacturing) or related technical field.10 years of semiconductor experience, preferably in customer quality or supplier quality management, is required for this position.
At least 3 years in a customer and supplier quality role with exposure to automotive clients.Experience working with FPGA is preferred.Strong understanding of AEC-Q100, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements. ISO 26262 will be an added advantage.Familiarity with quality tools : 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc.Proficient in statical analysis and tools (Minitab, JMP or Excel-based tools).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – especially with global customers and suppliers.Good command of English and Mandarin in both speaking and writing is required.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and technical escalations.
