Mechanical Product Development Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies division at the Penang site as a Mechanical Development Engineer .

We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology. Our developments contribute to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication.

What you will do :

• Collaboration with suppliers to provide technical support to Purchasing for transfer to the HVM site; coordination and definition of drawing-related requirements with existing and new suppliers
• Technical consulting of suppliers to ensure standards-compliant implementation of requirements for vacuum capacitors
• Conducting FAI approvals as R&D representative
• Interface for knowledge transfer from the supplier via Comet Purchasing to the development department for vacuum capacitors
• Support of the SCM department in the selection of suppliers regarding technical feasibility, quality, and cost
• Close cooperation with internal departments (e.g., Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing) to ensure a smooth FAI process and its approval by R&D
