Job Summary
Service Lead role at Standard Chartered overseeing process excellence, risk & governance, and people leadership across global banking services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep awareness of the Group’s business strategy, model and wider economic and market environment.
- Ensure the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework is implemented, BCP / BIA is in place and tested at required intervals.
- Deliver a seamless client experience through efficient processing and timely resolution of client exceptions.
- Support strategy to streamline processes, enhance productivity, reduce risk, improve controls and leverage technology.
- Ensure all process exceptions comply with group policies and procedures.
- Support lending loan products across multiple countries.
- Operate across time zones (Australia, Vietnam, Pakistan, UK, US) as required.
- Lead people & talent : coach, develop, retain high‑quality staff, manage performance, succession, and embed a culture of risk awareness and ethical conduct.
- Proactively manage risk, address control weaknesses, and lead incident resolution and root‑cause analysis.
- Embed the Group’s values, code of conduct and governance practices within the GBS GLS function.
- Manage budgets, cost efficiencies and partner with stakeholders including COO Lending, technology teams and country process owners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance or related field.Minimum 3 years of banking operations / finance experience with people management exposure.Approx. 5 years in the financial services sector with knowledge of lending products and processes.Strong risk‑management profile – ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks.Governance and oversight expertise to assess effectiveness of controls and drive improvements.Fluency in Mandarin (advantage) and English; ability to read, write and speak both.Passion for leading people and providing direction and focus to team members.Skills & Experience
