Overview
Finance cum Admin Officer to manage financial operations while also supporting administrative tasks within the book industry. The ideal candidate should have a background in finance or accounting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance financial responsibilities with day-to-day administrative functions.
Responsibilities
Finance Duties
- Handle daily financial transactions related to book sales (online and retail), wholesale orders, author royalties, and distribution payments.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collection from resellers and accurate disbursement to suppliers and authors.
- Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial reports, including sales performance by channel (e-commerce, distributors, and events).
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-related financial reporting.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
Administrative Duties
Maintain proper filing systems for financial and administrative records.Assist in HR-related administrative matters such as license renewal, leave records, staff claims, and payroll preparation.Provide administrative support to the management team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and handling correspondence.Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and marketing teams for smooth operational and financial tracking of inventory, stock movement, and promotional campaigns.Ensure office supplies and resources are managed efficiently.Education & Experience
Minimum Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support role.Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL) and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of Malaysia’s financial regulations and tax requirements.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure.#J-18808-Ljbffr
