Senior Engineer Virtualization – Infineon Technologies

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtualization Engineer to join our global team. As a Virtualization Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our virtualization infrastructure based on Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere Hypervisor. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our virtualized environment, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Implement, and maintain virtual clusters, including node configuration, storage setup, and network configuration (Proxmox VE / VMware)
• Create and manage virtual machines, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Monitor and troubleshoot virtual clusters, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the global IT team to ensure seamless integration of virtualization with other infrastructure components
• Stay up to date with the latest virtualization features, best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our virtualization infrastructure services
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24 / 7 support of our global virtualization infrastructure
• Document virtual infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
