Job Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for full spectrum of payroll function including processing of salaries, pay adjustment, statutory contributions, annual tax filing as well as regular headcount & reporting related to payroll.
The ideal candidate is independent, meticulous, highly organized and able to multi-task and prioritize completing requests from different stakeholders and will be responsible to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Lead payroll team members to ensure efficient operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate time frames and comply with relevant legislation.
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, payroll program trends, and prevailing best practices.
Complies with the regulatory standards and the company’s internal policies and procedures for payroll.
Identifies current or potential problems with reports, analyzes the impact to financial data, and proposes solutions.
Produces Month‑End Payroll Reports and Payroll Reconciliations.
Conduct payroll‑related training for the Operations Team.
