Cabling Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain various types of cabling systems, such as Ethernet, fiber optic, coaxial, and telephone cables, within buildings or data centers.
• Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to carry out cabling infrastructure layouts, ensuring proper network connectivity and scalability.
• Terminate and label cables, connectors, and wall jacks according to industry standards to ensure proper signal transmission.
• Use cable testing equipment to verify the integrity and functionality of installed cabling, and troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues as they arise.
• Install, organize, and maintain network equipment, including racks, cabinets, and patch panels, for neat and efficient cabling.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to maintain high-quality cabling infrastructure.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during cabling installations and maintenance.
