Executive Operations

Ensure Transhipment coordination runs smoothly and internal systems are updated for SeaLead Shipping Malaysia.

Main tasks and responsibilities :

• Ensure services are performed according to service requirements.
• Act as the point of contact for all Transshipment matters at Port Klang within the SeaLead network, demonstrating responsibility, due diligence, and alignment with SeaLead’s values and goals.
• Collaborate closely with POL, POD, Transshipment Desk, and Feeders for space requisition, rate filing, and to ensure smooth operations.
• Proactively manage idling Transshipment cargo at port to minimize storage days and maintain customer value.
• Ensure Transshipment connections are secured within the specified free time.
• Communicate with terminals and port authorities regarding loading, discharging, and special cargo arrangements.
• Provide relevant parties with information such as ETA checks and connection details from POL & POD.
• Keep internal systems updated with latest information by liaising with SeaLead support team and designated PIC for any issues.
• Ensure Transshipment costs in port are kept to a minimum.
• Assist operations department with local operations, logistics, and customer queries as instructed by superiors.
• Handle Transshipment cargo damages in terminal, liaising with Claims team, terminal, ports, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction aligned with SeaLead’s values.
• Arrange Transloading activities with relevant port authorities.

External : JV partners, Customers and Clients, Agents, Ports

Internal : Operations / Liner Management, Equipment, Stowage, Capacity, Finance, Human Resources

Education requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime, Logistics, or a qualified professional qualification.

Background and experience :

Minimum 5 years’ experience in container shipping operations at the country level, with previous experience in transhipment operations.

Knowledge of geography and port operations.

Competencies and skills :

Proactive with a sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Ability to thrive in fast-paced operational settings with multiple priorities.

Positive mindset focused on execution, standardization, and continuous improvement.
