Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Chief Steward to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the leader of our stewarding department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance to support our food and beverage operations.

• Lead and manage the stewarding team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
• Oversee daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality results
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas, equipment, and dining facilities
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tableware, and kitchen equipment
• Coordinate with other departments to support smooth food and beverage operations
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Implement and maintain quality control measures for cleanliness and hygiene
• Oversee maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment
• Manage department budget and control costs
• Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to improve team performance
• Collaborate with the culinary team to support efficient kitchen operations
• Implement and monitor environmentally friendly practices in the stewarding department
