Summary : To ensure the integrity of balance sheet accounts by performing monthly account reconciliations and accounting entries. Highlight discrepancies, correct them, and identify actions for others to complete. This entry‑level position involves functional and organizational training under moderate supervision and requires independent action on details of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual accounting entries and monitor system‑generated entries to ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for a series of balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner by adjusting entries or communicating recommended actions.
• Recognize and explain errors or anomalies in balance sheet accounts immediately.
• Create monthly variance reports between actual, forecast and plan.
• Provide explanatory variance analysis to management.
• Gather ideas and gain consensus with cross‑functional teams on process improvement recommendations.
• Communicate ideas clearly and accept perspectives of others.
• Write reports and give internal presentations.
• Actively participate in team discussions and share ideas, knowledge, and skills.
• Evaluate alternatives based on pros / cons and provide input on managing required changes.
• Lead by example and remain accountable for own actions.
• Contract is 1 year, non‑renewable.
