P2P Associate Analyst (9–12 Month Contract)

About the Department

Global Finance Services (GFS) is at the heart of the Finance function – accountable to the AstraZeneca (AZ) Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes that enable our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities. Our Procure to Pay (P2P) team within GFS is responsible for end-to-end procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, overseeing procurement process management, invoice processing, payment processing, supplier relationship management, employee expense reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Typical Accountabilities

• Review and validate invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness within the agreed timeline.
• Resolve Level 2 accounts payable queries within the agreed timeline.
• Perform AP balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., clearing aged items such as GR / IR).
• Investigate outstanding items or issues and work with vendors and business users to resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Participate in compliance audits and respond to audit queries as needed.
• Support system and process development or changes, including preparing and updating process documentation and driving process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with key controls identified in the FCF / SOX documentation.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to invoice processing.
• Support the team lead and team members in BAU activities to enhance team effectiveness and assist new joiners in settling into their roles.
