We are looking for a Deputy Principal, Primary with an educational psychology background or primary education with experience in primary school administration.

The following describes the role in detail.

The Deputy Primary will :

• To be accountable for the continuous improvement of the school in maximizing student and school achievement.
• To promote and safeguard the welfare of the school.
• Carry out the Principal’s duties during his / her absence.
• Teach some periods according to the Principal’s instructions.
• Be responsible for curriculum, administration, community relations, and safety.
• Assist the Principal in all aspects of school planning and management.
• Be guided and be clear about the Philosophy of Education & Syllabus set by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
• Support and work towards the Vision and Mission of the School.
• Coordinate all curriculum programmes organized by the school district education department, the state education department, and the Ministry of Education.
• Advise, guide, and coordinate in the selection of textbooks, workbooks, and other reading materials in the Resource Centre.
• Prepare and set the Teachers’ Timetable and arrange the Teachers’ Relief Timetable whenever necessary.
• Ability to create a professional learning community.
• Leading teacher training for pedagogical transformation.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills.
• The impact of leadership on student achievement.
• To be responsible for the development and enhancement of the administration and educational leadership of the respective section of the school.
• To be accountable for the continuous improvement of the respective section of the school in maximising student achievement.
• To provide leadership and management necessary to ensure the success of the school in fulfilling its mission and working towards its vision.
• To model the values of the school at all times and in all aspects of his or her job.
• To promote and safeguard the welfare of children.
