About the role : We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager - Project Operations to lead and manage end-to-end project operations for interior fit-out works. The role involves overseeing project planning, site execution, progress reporting, cost control, quality assurance, and coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Leadership & Planning : Lead project team with clear direction and timelines; Brief team on scope and procedures (SR, VO, PMR, ROD); Prepare project org chart, work programme, and manpower plans; Attend kick-off meetings, site walks, and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Site Execution & Coordination : Oversee mock-up installation and ensure accuracy of site measurements; Coordinate with designers on site issues and drawing discrepancies; Ensure proper site logistics, storage, and material delivery plans; Monitor installation quality and enforce HSE compliance.
- Reporting & Cost Monitoring : Track daily site updates and prepare weekly / monthly progress reports; Monitor project costs, manage SRs, and validate subcontractor claims; Submit EOT applications and notify changes affecting cost or timeline.
- Communication & Meetings : Attend client, consultant, and internal meetings; Conduct weekly internal project reviews to address delays, QA / QC, and deliveries; Organise kick-off meetings with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Defect Management & Quality Assurance : Resolve defects and manage project handover; Evaluate workmanship and propose site solutions; Promote best practices aligned with QLASSIC & CONQUASS standards.
Job Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the interior design and fit-out industry.Track record in managing commercial, residential, or hospitality interior design projects.Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Project Management, Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related fields.Strong knowledge of construction and fit-out processes.Project Management certification is an advantage.Relevant training in construction safety, interior design, or construction management.Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Proficient in cost estimating and budgeting tools.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.Resilient under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills with contractors, clients, and suppliers.Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
