2. Financial Operations & Control
Oversee financial transactions and activities for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and master reference data to ensure operational efficiency and accurate records.
Review the internal control process for the site in line with management requirements to ensure cost transparency, improved cost tracking, and progress towards top quartile OPEX performance.
Owner of the Custody Transfer Measurement and Mass Balancing Process on site to ensure sustainability, compliance, and process improvement.
Review and monitor process flows and propose internal control plans to improve efficiency or mitigate losses.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory reports to Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission, and other authorities.
Lead the preparation of Statutory Accounts, Board of Directors Meeting papers, Quarterly Bursa reports, and the Annual Report.
4. Audit & Assurance
Plan the audit schedule to ensure audited financial statements are ready for the Board Meeting and published in the Annual Report.
Agree with external auditors on the Prepared by Clients (PBC) listing for audit purposes and cascade requirements to all PBC preparers in Finance Ops
Liaise with auditors during statutory audits to ensure compliance and timely completion.
5. Taxation
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the Group’s tax liabilities.
Manage transfer pricing issues to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Review Annual Income Tax Returns for submission to the Inland Revenue Board in accordance with legislation and guidelines, in collaboration with the company’s Tax Agent.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or related fields, preferably with professional certification (i.e., CPA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :
Experienced Finance professional with minimum 15 years of experience with relevant exposure in a multinational or large company
Strong understanding of internal controls, adherence to processes, policies and procedures
Well versed with MFRS and Bursa Compliance and other related statutory bodies
Good problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and inquisitive mindset
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as interpersonal and relationship building skills
Good knowledge and understanding of SAP
Willing to travel within Klang Valley and its vicinity
