Sourcing & Purchasing
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, machinery, spare parts, and services.
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Supplier Management
Develop and maintain good relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
Identify alternative suppliers to ensure business continuity.
Cost & Inventory Control
Negotiate best pricing and payment terms to achieve cost savings.
Work closely with warehouse and production teams to maintain sufficient stock levels.
Monitor and control procurement budgets and minimize wastage.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure proper documentation of contracts, invoices, and procurement records.
Comply with company SOPs, financial policies, and statutory regulations.
Prepare regular procurement reports for management review.
Cross-Department Support
Coordinate with production, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in resolving any supplier, delivery, or quality issues.
Support management in sourcing for new projects, tenders, or factory expansion needs.
Diploma / Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
At least 2–3 years of procurement or purchasing experience (manufacturing / industrial background preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple suppliers and timelines effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement systems.
Good command of Mandarin & Malay (English is an advantage) to liaise with Chinese management, suppliers, and local staff.
Detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and able to work independently.
